Burmese Dreaming Cinematography Preview:

Burmese Dreaming has been widely commended for the cinematography from inside Burma. Director, Timothy Syrota: ‘Many of the things that I was filming, things like fishermen and farmers working with buffalo, have been filmed extensively throughout Southest Asia (even if not so extensively in BUrma itself) and are thus familiar to many viewers. Because of this I reconciled myself to trying to film these aspects of life as well as I could.’

The Thailand-Burma border refugee camps:

The refugee camps on the Thailand-Burma border. Burmese Dreaming narrative: “In the refugee camp some people have been here for 10 and 20 years. We are outside the world. We are people who have lost our rights and our opportunity for freedom. We are people who need peace and democracy so that we can go home.”
